Jaemes & Ashleigh
Redleaf Wollombi, Hunter Valley
Jaemes & Ashleigh chose to get married at the stunning Redleaf Wollombi and it was a testament to the beauty of embracing the unexpected. Despite the rainy and cold weather, the day unfolded with an unmistakable warmth and intimacy. The venue, with its undercover reception area and cozy indoor ceremony space (which has since been redesigned) provided a perfect backdrop for the celebration. The couple’s laid-back demeanor and genuine connection made the atmosphere even more special. Their love was palpable, weaving through every moment of the day with no fuss.
The bride, in her stunning dress, looked radiant against the moody backdrop. The cinematic quality of the setting perfectly matched the aesthetic they had envisioned, which is why they had chosen me to capture their day in the first place. They expressed their admiration for the moody and cinematic nature of my work, and it was clear that my style resonated deeply with their vision for their wedding.
Being a part of such an intimate and heartfelt celebration was truly a pleasure. The rain and chill outside only added to the cozy, romantic feel inside, creating a unique and memorable experience. It was an honour to witness and document the day. I have since photographed their family which is the most special part of getting to know my couples on such a personal level.
Here is what happened that day:
