George & Heidi

This wedding at Wallalong House in the Hunter Valley had a bit of an unexpected start. The skies were grey and rain started to fall just as guests began arriving, their umbrellas popping open and laughter filling the air despite the drizzle. Everyone gathered around, chatting, their spirits undeterred by the weather. This made the day so authentic. I love when people embrace whatever happens as I want to focus all my energy into the storytelling.
The bride Heidi, looking stunning in her gown took the rain in stride. Their love for each other was clear, and it spread warmth throughout the crowd. The rain added a touch of magic to the ceremony, with the sound of raindrops hitting the leaves above.
Just as the couple exchanged their vows, the rain began to ease up. Almost like a scene from a movie, the clouds parted and we spent the afternoon in perfect conditions. It was a beautiful moment, and you could see the joy on everyone’s faces as they celebrated the newlyweds coming down the aisle.
The reception that followed was laid-back and full of joy. The lovely guests mingled, danced, and enjoyed the delicious food under the now-clear sky. The bride and groom shared their first dance in the marquee surrounded by their loved ones.
I have to thank George and Heidi for trusting in me to capture their day. I loved every minute of being there. I hope the images below tell the rest of the story.
